About Wharton Cottage
Wharton Cottage is a charming three bedroom cottage in the centre of Askrigg, in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Our beautiful cottage dates back to before 1750 and was once part of a coach house. Full renovations of both the interior and exterior were completed in May 2021, though the cottage still retains its rustic charm.
Downstairs boasts a comfortable living room with a stunning open fire; a kitchen with dining table and washing machine; and a W.C. Upstairs, you’ll find three bedrooms and the main bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. The master bedroom has a super-king sized bed which can be separated into two single beds if required. This bedroom also hosts spectacular views of the Wensleydale fells from the window. Bedrooms two and three look onto the village below. Bedroom two has a double bed and bedroom three has a single daybed which expands into a double bed if required for extra flexibility. The house is heated throughout by energy efficient electric wall heaters.
Outside, to the front of the property there is a lovely lawned garden with a bench and to the rear of the property there is a south facing paved courtyard with a table, chairs and a barbecue and views over the village to Addlebrough. This area is secure and therefore suitable for pets who want to stretch their legs or soak up the sun.
