Welcome to Casper's
Casper's Cottages are two beautiful period houses just yards away from one another in the centre of Askrigg, a picturesque and lively dales village right in the heart of Wensleydale.
Who are we?
Casper's Cottages is a family's labour of love involving Katy & Matt and their parents Julie, Mark, Linda & Chris. Having spent a week each summer holidaying in Askrigg for many years (from being toddlers in some cases) it is a village with a special place in our hearts. When the opportunity arose to purchase Wharton Cottage and Mildred House, both of which had been unchanged for many years and were in need of some TLC we just could not resist. As the next generation has recently arrived, it also presented the perfect opportunity for them to enjoy Askrigg just like we did.
It would have been selfish to keep the wonderful experiences that we continue to have in Askrigg all to ourselves and we really hope that our guests will enjoy holidaying in the village and exploring the Dales just as much a we have over the years!
Why Casper's? Casper is our much loved black labrador (and older brother of fox red Paco) who has given both houses and the village itself his all important seal of approval! We are happy to welcome dogs and have equipped the houses with various items to help keep your canines comfy.
